Love me some A-10s!  And they're going to try to replace them with the F35?  Yea, right.

I read somewhere that they were going to shut down the A-10s but decided at the last minute not to.

I hope you're right!  Going off topic here.  I'm sure you've noted that Airbus is building airplanes in Mobile.  Through marriage, my wife is related to the chief test pilot for that facility and he's going to be here Saturday for brunch.  He was a C130 pilot in the Canadian Air Force and landed a terrific job with Airbus.  He got to do a lot of the testing of the monster A380.  Cool stuff!

Great shots Dave. I really enjoy your pictures. How do you typically get your planes in flight? Are you in a spectators booth with a tripod and long lens or something else?

Yea the F-35 will replace the A10 like the F22 replaced the F15. There have been talks of bringing the F22 back into production.
