I upgraded from my Canon Powershot A610 to the Nikon D5500. However, I don't think that this has to be the end for the A610 as it is not a bad camera as all. It is a 5MP camera with manual modes and it is possible to add a lens in-front of the build in lens. Next to that it can be used with regular AA-batteries, you can carry it on your belt and Canon produced an underwater-casing. What for ideas do you have can the new purpose of the camera be?
My own ideas are:
- Back up camera (in case the batteries of the D5500 are empty)
- Shoots at a concert from within the crowd (without killing others with a lens )
- Using it in bad-weather conditions (with the underwater casing)
- Make an action-cam from it (No idea on how to mount it safely)
