If anyone cares for surfing movies you could worse than "Big Wednesday". Or the 1991 version of "Point Break"

They both have  Gary Busey !!

I think there is a remake of point break that came out not long ago too.  Check out the surfing contest going on in Hawaii right now, big wave stuff 50-60 footers, insane

The remake is, as they say, "pants"

60 ft ? and on what is basically a plank ? Sweet merciful god....

On a flippant note I wonder if photoshopping in a giant labrador dog emerging out of the waves to grab the surfer like a frizby would improve the picture ?

<_<

Wow incredible image! I think color one is the shot mostly because of the green wave. Did you get to show the surfer this shot? I think he would of bought a print!

Thanks Doc, I think I like the color version better too.  I should show the surfers the shots more often, some will ask me when they come in and if I have some shots of them, I usually get an email address and just send them.  I walk the beaches a lot, there are many lagoon areas that are great for birds, if there's not much that day, there are usually some surfers.

The shots are very nice, I prefer the color but both really work.
