I am brand new to professional photography as well as post processing outside of iPhoto.  I am currently working through SDP, but I recently purchased both Lightroom & Photoshop and I would like a really easy to read book to use as I learn Photoshop.  I know many people suggest watching youtube videos, and I have, but I would really like a recommendation for a comprehensive "build on the previous lesson" tutorial book.  Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance!!!

Well, I hear Tony is writing a great book that already has a couple chapters and hours of video ready to view...

Otherwise I'd say hit up Lynda.com and check out their Photoshop Essentials course.

Thank you!  Yes, I contacted Tony via FB and the book is available on presale with videos available already.  I bought it right away!  Love Tony & Chelsea's easy to understand teaching style!

I recommend the phlearn photoshop 101 and 201 bundle. It is good for basic photoshop.

Ongoing. He's releasing new bits as he writes them. Was there something specific you were looking to do?

If you sign up for pre-order from them, Chelsea has promised, - on one of the live shows, to do a drawing inside the cover of the first batch purchased.

(Don't know how many books she's up for though; could take her a while).
