I'll have to get setting off my computer since I'm posting off my iPhone.. Lol but this was my cousin wedding and I snapped a few pics but I was there to do video so didn't do much photography.

I have taken very similar pics to record such events, given the number of folks milling around it can be very difficult/next to impossible (?) to capture an ideal background for people pics when it comes to candid pics.... Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

Personally... if you cropped the first four tighter to near square .. ?

yeah it's quite hard especially when everyone is everywhere .. Yeah the cropping would work G..

Sporty, take control of your subject, move them to a clean uncluttered background or if that isn't an option? Shoot with a big zoom, wide aperture and throw the BG out of focus and your shots will pop.

Used my crappy 18-135mm for that day cause I was only shooting video, till I decided to snap a few shoots.

Well with the new 85mm 1.2 subject separation from BG won't be as difficult. :)

Yeah I think it'll def solve that problem.. I have 3 wedding to shoot in Nov so we'll see how she does..
