Just curious, anyone have interest in this camera?  I know it's not out yet but I know some people that have made pre-orders.

Next best thing???

I had an interest in it for a landscape camera, it will adapt to both nikon and canon lenses. Tony did a preview a couple of weeks ago, near the end of the review he read that with adapted lenses all 399 AF points were active. They lack the ability to select a dedicated focus point, that IMHO makes the camera unusable with adapted lenses. This drives the cost too high, for me.

The lack of good e-mount lens is a very negative point for Sony e-mount cameras. I love my Nex-5T but I decide to also have a Canon due to better lens option. No lens adapter replaces a native lens.

Such a good camera but does not has native lens beyond 240mm......

Doug, T&C reviewed the sony 7R ii again with a different lens adapter, the results were quite different than their first review, you might want to check it out.

Mine is arriving Monday. Just actually read a fantastic review of it by a well respected photographer. Have a look:

https://luminous-lan...ands-on-report/

Quick excerpt from said review:

HINT: Have you looked at the DxO Lens test chart recently? Of the top ten lenses ever tested, three are Sony FE lenses, and the highest rated for sharpness (even above the two Zeiss Otus lenses) is the Sony FE 90mm F2.8 Macro G OSS.
