Watched another of Thomas Heaton`s excellent vids. He posted one yesterday as he does every Wednesday and Sunday.. on location at Stac Polly. which was a long drive from his home and the weather in the area was less than promising, but he made something of the trip and did not go home empty handed...

If you watched the vid and wondered why he travelled such a distance hoping to capture an image of that particular location and might care to see it without the mist and cloud.... I took a few point and shoot record images of my scramble to the top of the Stac  circa 2003 with my Nikon E990 (my first digital)

Hope I do not incur the wrath of C&T for mentioning another Youtuber as I am a BIG fan of their efforts to pass on knowledge and sharing their photographic interest too...

Why two names...?  The fitst is Gallic and the second is phonetic to assist pronunciation..

817 taken looking from the opposite side of the stack from the car park below adjacent the loch

821 taken from the summit looking down to the car park.

825 again from the summit ridge, looking West of the carpark

056 is of the Stac in centre frame from some distance of at a roadside lay-by

These pics were taken at a time prior to me becoming more interested in trying to improve my photography...!

CC/questions welcomed.

Beauties, Geedee.

I do like 817.  Full of drama with great light
