Here's a "time blend" composite of one of the pools at Seven Falls near Tuscon, Arizona in mid-October (just after monsoon season). This was the goal of a ~4 mile hike (~8.2 miles round trip) with about 1100ft/335m elevation gain.

The hike was beautiful and takes you across the creek 7 times. I found it interesting that Bear Canyon, home of Seven Falls, had a much higher concentration of saguaro cactus than Saguaro National Park.

This is one of a few pools at the falls and swimming is allowed. The water is heavy with tannins giving it a slightly brown tint.

Well worth the effort of the climb.

Dunno what a time blend is either, Geedee.  Must be the way he blended in a slow shutter on the flowing water background and foreground and still gave sharp detail on the pool area in the middle of the frame.

The light is very strong but I like the treatment you gave to the water.

Hats off to ya !!!

Geedee (and everybody else), Matt's forum is re activated.

"Time blend" may not be the best term, but the concept is a composite of two different shutter speeds into a single image. I took the smooth water from the falls in the slow shutter image and brushed it over the same area in the fast shutter image.
