Some of you may have noticed that I have not been flooding the forums with my pictures lately and that is not because I think I know everything or I am satisfied. I am still not only not good at some things, but just plain horrible at some things like flash for instance... OMG!!! am I struggling though it.. LOL anyways.... I have been putting together a photography business with a business plan and website and all that jazz... Please check it out and let me know what you think.

https://www.wondersoflifestudios.com/ I also have a instagram account and a business FB page wonders of life studios, LLC

It has been nasty the last three days here in Florida so in desperation I give you these flash practice pictures .... all cc welcome and enjoy !

I suspect flash may more complex to master than natural light, given the duration of flash..? As for pet photography I suspect having both eyes captured in the image may be more important in pet photography as more expression may be captured that way...? Good luck in your venture Ed.

Thanks for sharing Edward!  I think the subjects look nice, but the shadows on the dog might be helped out by a reflector.  The shadow concept is good IMO, but I would still like to see some detail in the shadow.  I reviewed the website, and don't like the "hover over the photo" to see what's in the package.  I would like to see a new tab with "packages" specified.  I am also confused with the video pricing - hover says $100, and packages start at $1,000.   I'm picky - sorry....But I like it!

Thank you!            I have watched lots of flash and lighting videos lately and the common consensus as I am sure you know that the drama of a pictures is in the shadow.  Now that I have learned to do basic photography( i mean that) I want to start telling stories with my pictures while learning the rest so it kind of matures together.

I am on the fence with the hover to display package.. It saves space on the page and keeps it looking clean, but I also know it is better to keep it simple for the viewer.   I am currently working on a package/product page that will have a link to the bookings page . I guess I could put up what I have so far.  Video pricing is an error I did not see.. I will fix that.  It is currently just a concept, but I have 2 people that are willing to be test subjects for $200.00 a piece..   if they like the result of course.

Your web page is just a start, and you do what works for you.  My preferences are just that; MY preferences.  Whatever works for you is best for you.  I admire what you're doing and just giving my two-cents worth.  Best of luck!

Best of luck Edward.

Out door portraiture and photography has got to be difficult: you're a hostage to the ever-changing light.

Good luck. I have yet to figure out how to turn photography into anything more than a hobby and I suspect it would loose much of its enjoyment for me if I did but I hope you figure it out.

I’m rooting for you Edward! It’s impressive you’ve got a website. I think that is huge. Congrats.
