Hmmm.

Did the IP address of sdpcommunity.com just change from 162.159.242.138 to

104.18.48.196  ?

I wonder if Tony has migrated the site as he mentioned last year ?

I don't know super sleuth, but the site went down for a bit - made me sign in and then had some server error.  Maybe...I haven't checked the IP address before.  I checked out the early days of ELO on youtube, and your boy Jeff took them in a better direction IMO.  For whatever reason I've been Niel Young viewing.  I didn't realize Nash was in the Hollies.  I've always liked Stills though - just like his voice.  But - Mr Soul by Mr Young brought back some memories....

New IP 104.18.48.196 is still on cloudflare as was the old ip 162.159.242.138,

could be the hosting provider for sdpcommunity  just load-balanced or moved their servers around.

OrgName: Cloudflare, Inc.
OrgId: CLOUD14
Address: 101 Townsend Street
City: San Francisco
StateProv: CA
PostalCode: 94107

Working same as the old for me, still can't get re-validated, at least it is letting me login mostly normally lately.

Could be, Peter.  When the site hiccuped yesterday I began to hope it was the migration.

Jonny, Jeff Lynne is a super musician and is very respectful of the history of rock and pop music.  There was a documentary done on him a while ago (maybe by the BBC)  where he talks about his career and the people he'd met.  He comes across as a proper gent.

A link to some documentary vids and a nice acoustic version of "Telephone Line", which, btw, is wot we used to make phone calls over, before those fancy pants cell phones came in and ruined it for everybody.

https://www.youtube....nne documentary.

Neil Young is astonishing - here's a link to a nice concert movie, "heart of gold"

Yep, Graham Nash was in the Hollies alright, and he's aged very well ! ;)

The made (another) documentary about CSN&Y and mother of god, Neil Young was/is some awkward bloke..

Yup - he's awkward.  I just get down rabbit holes and whatever peaks my interest I watch.  After seeing how he played with so many big stars and had respect from them means he had to be an OK guy.  I saw Lynne's stuff after Gregg Allman passed.  He's another well-respected industry guy.  I can't watch the video you linked in America; it says it's not available for viewing in my country.   This is the video that got me looking into Neil... I like the transition and Stills in a cowboy hat dancing around.  I do like Old Man too...

Great link ;)

I need a jacket just like that one.

Old Gringo is a great album.  After The Gold Rush is iconic.  Harvest Moon, the list goes on.

Em, this link might change the way you view popular music. She's French, her name is Alizee and this the way they roll in that glorious country ;)

When they perfect robot women, I want one just like here....

I believe the song she's singing explores the problems of having a fish stuck on your butt. (annnd,,, were back....) B)

She's got a few more inciting moves than Stills...elicited a totally different response...as well it should :D.  If you get one of those Jackets, you can do some nifty fish-eye work....speaking of fishes...

Hucking fell !

That is a great photograph !  When I saw the thumbnail first, I thought it was a porcupine's face - good job I'm not being aptitude tested, I#d be hauled off by the men in white coats (again).

Thanks for the pointer to "five to seventy" - going to play it through again but this time through my telly, and enjoy the music and photographs again.

And whatdoyaknow - I switched on the box and The Hollies documentary is playing "Look through any window" 1963-75.

I saw that shot a few days ago and actually paused to look at it.....then you mentioned the jacket, and I had to fumble back through the video to find it.  Kind of old-timey, but I think it's great.  No photo shop there....Yup - it's a super cool shot!  Glad you like it!
