My first time taking photos of surfers...during Christmas week in La Jolla, California (San Diego area). I hope you get a sense of how fun and action-packed it is. It's a tough job to fill the frame and keep them there, during their unpredictable moves up and down the waves. The relatively long distance from my beach position and tracking issues resulted in not the best of focus, and exposure settings were a challenge (I used mostly Auto ISO...these were all in the late morning to early afternoon with sun in and out). I learned that some surfers face the wave as they surf, others face the beach with their backs to the wave wall (better photo opp). Interesting. Enjoy!
