Sorry for posting twice in a day, but I liked how this one turned out.  I don't have my editing computer set up yet, and I may fix the noise or texture in the background; it doesn't take too much away from the shot for me.

Great BIF, Jonny..

His face and eye are well sharp.

The crop is maybe a little tight, front and rear.

The yellow grasses of the background looks great

Thanks Rod.  With this one, the further away you went, the expression in the face and the coloration of the shoulder kind of got lost.  In this one, it's about the bird.  I was going to crop tighter and cut the back of the bird off, but I liked this better.  The pattern of the beak, the cheek colors, the span of the wings and a bunch of other stuff made me go tight.  I understand composition, and the marsh grass and bird is what I was going for.  Thanks!

Seems you got that which you went for Jonny, and in the process created a really nice image with good detail precisely where needed.

Great capture, nice and sharp. Really like that yellow grass background contrasting with the bird’s blackness.
