Just to make visitors aware that the introductions sub menu is regularly overloaded with SPAM messages starting with the words JUST WANTED  or I AM  as their intro... suspect these are automated messages that may be best not clicked on...?

This site has become the forgotten child of T&C. They seem to favor Facebook and YouTube now. It is a shame as this forum is very friendly and professional. Maybe that is not in now :(, although we can be thankful that they still let it exist.

One thing we must all remember is to not feed the trolls. When they get a response it fuels them.

As was said, FB and youtube are much more popular media portals for T&C but they haven't forgotten us.

Justin usually empties out the introductions for me but there have been some difficulties with the administration of the site making it difficult/impossible for admins to log in and do the maintenance (!)

Tony plans to migrate the site to a new hosting service in the near future, so fingers crossed, things will go smoothly and we can continue our little community.

One thing that doesn't hurt is to use the "support us" button at the top of the forums page to buy stuff from Amazon whenever you can.

The more financial activity they see from the SDPcommunity, the better.

Thanks for the heads-up Rod.  I have no complaint as such, this forum costs me nothing to share enjoyment of my chosen pastime. I bought the book to entitle access to the closed forum and of course help educate me..(-:  As for the SPAM warning I posted that to advise others who visit the site that it existed and was known about  which seemed a reasonable thing to do.

As for C&T I am a fan and appreciate they are running a business, long may it succeed ...(-: I am more than happy that this little corner of cyberspace is not too busy and that unlike elsewhere the exchanges are friendly...(-:

You're right, Geedee.

When the introductions section gets clogged up with spam the new joiners are reluctant to participate as it looks like a zombie forum.

Personally, I'd have no issue with paying an annual sub for access to the forums, - it would never cost as much as all that wanger enlargement tablets I bought from the spammers in the intros section.... ;) B)

Oh that might be good!

I can only get logged in sporadically and the site keeps wanting me to validate my email which never seems to do anything when i click it.

Tony plans to migrate the site to a new hosting service in the near future, so fingers crossed, things will go smoothly and we can continue our little community.

Hello Peter !

I thought you'd lost patience with us all!

I know a few other valued friends have had their accounts reject them.

From watching the "live show" I know that T&C are up to their necks in work developing their video training course so the migration might be on the back burner, but I'll let Justin know that it's not only the admin accounts that are being affected.

Rod
