Lucky with the weather again for this event. Choosing shutter speed is tricky for me in that while slower speeds are desirable to catch the spinning drive wheels as the cars struggle to find grip on the mud and wet grass, with open top cars that are obviously moving to some degree it is nice to get some worthwhile detail in the drivers faces. I am not at the stage where I flip through speed selections quickly to alter the setting to match the scene as it changes before my eyes in anyway perfectly.

1st pic  f11  1/60th  auto ISO  360   Nikkor [email protected] 200mm

2nd pic F11  1/80th  auto ISO  360   same lens same focal length.

3rd pic f11  1/80th   auto ISO 250  same lens @ 145mm

The 70-200 works well for this kind of event though on occasion it is too long at 70mm as you can get in close..

CC very much appreciated.

Oh man!

They're pretty great Geedee.

The devil may be in the detail but apparently he does part time marshalling at moror trial events...

That three in a row show is brilliant.

You also got the rear wheel-spin spot on.

Thanks Rod, re the wheel spins, check out the silver Austin seven special, you need real luck to be in the right place at the right time given the only wheel on the vehicle rotating  was on the side I was standing... (-:

The funny hats were down to the PCT being titled as the Halloween event...(-:

I always enjoy your Production Car Trial shots, I'd say you did a damn fine job with these, I'd like to give it a go myself someday :D
