While I was talking to the volunteer at the museum, I mentioned that I'd like to donate a print to the museum. He contacted the lady that's taking care of the charity stuff for the event and she came down to the floor of the museum while I was shooting. She said she'd really appreciate a donation, so today, I dropped off a print of their Bristol Freighter. I figure that an air museum gala will have plenty of aeronautical fans and that someone knowing the history of this old bird will make a nice bid for it. Here's the shot and I've included a link to the museum showing the plane just after it arrived.
And here's the shot from the museum:
I just received a letter from the museum. The final bid on the print was $170 which goes to operating the museum! I'm really pleased and humbled by the fact that airplane minded people would pay that much for one of my shots. One of my best moments in my short photography life. :-)
