As I repaired my time machine - again - I took some middle ages portraits.

Fierce warriors:

Captain

and his fellow cannon fodder.

Attached File  _DSC8422.jpg   386.85KB   0 downloadsAttached File  _DSC8454.jpg   376.83KB   0 downloadsAttached File  _DSC9106.jpg   322.09KB   0 downloads

Armorer waiting for the battle to finish. Not actually the portrait by definition but I like the lighting.

And of course if we've got beasts there has to be beauties.

Attached File  _DSC9271.jpg   196.15KB   0 downloadsAttached File  _DSC9677.jpg   199.76KB   1 downloads

A usual all done with my fellow 70-200 f/2.8-f/3.2 at 200mm.

I guess I'll post a few more later. As well as some action ones.

Super images! That dimly lit "non-portrait" is one of my favorites. The first beauty looks enchanted by a warrior, while the last beauty looks to be fed up by all of them. Great captures of moments and expressions, every one of these!
You're making me a believer in the 70- 200 f/2.8. What range of shutter shutter speeds?

Very nice work, and like Mark I think the armourer outshines them all.....(-:

Thanks guys! Looks like the extra shot did its magic :D

I love this lens. It is the previous (now the middle) generation - VRII - but it is so freakin amazing. Beyond words. I can't imagine to go anywhere without it. Even though 70mm are/were this time sometimes too close. I guess I'd be even more amazed by the new one but just looking at photos made by the one I've got... Well, I don't need the new one.

A killer lens indeed.

As for shutter 1/400s on each an everyone of them :)

Thanks :) Princesses are always welcome :)

It turned out that from my previous disappointment and conviction that there is lack of good photos I managed to pick 150 of them. And they are pretty nice :)

Portraits, action, general, panoramas, even HDR which I don't understand.

It was a good trip :)

One more shot which made me laugh. I was like:

That "blinked" photo remindes me of the film(s) The Day The Earth Stood Still.  (I prefer the original b&w one).

For me you got a difficult exposure and focus spot on in the first of this last group which is also my favourite from that group. Nice work indeed.
