We have this starfish flower cactus (Stapelia Grandiflora) it's flowers only last a day or 2.  It has bloomed before but not when I could get a shot.  This one is on its lasts day.  The white things are the bugs that it attracted with the smell of decomposing material.  These pics are the same one just different crops.  I wish I had noticed how bad the pot looks before I finished shooting.  I hope to try to make it blend in a bit more somehow in photoshop.

Superb detail JD can not imagine how it could be bettered... though perhaps more close up than macro..?  Thanks for posting and reminding me to have another go at macro..(-:
