This was my unsuccessful submission to last week's show.  It never got a look-in

Too many fantastic photos to compete with.

Sneaked up onto the roof at work and snapped it between rain storms.

1/60th, f10, ISO 100, 180mm

Straightened and cleaned up.

All CC welcomed

I like it, the clouds in the background add a nice texture too it.  What are those things anyhow?

They're ventilation ducts - I think.

That or, " the chances of anything coming from Mars are a lot less that a million to 1 " as the War Of The Worlds song claimed

Geedee, I bet you have a few Jackson Pollocks in your attic

I like the image! I think doing it in B&W was a great idea. If you're into printing your images I would definitely print this one!!

Very creative Rod. I like this! Nice opposing diagonal lines: roof vs lines of clouds.

Thanks fellas !

I actually masked out some of the background which was getting a bit cluttered around the bases of the ducts.

Worked out better that I'd hoped

I like this shot! The shapes that repeat, but aren't exactly the same makes me linger on the 3 ducts. Like the wispy clouds as well...

Thanks Pthomsen :)

I was debating whether or not to flatten the sky and make it smooth.

I think this looks better
