Well I finally get a morning to get out and play and of course it's foggy and overcast along the coast, oh well...still a great walk :D

wow that is foggy. Looks like you removed the entire background in post. I am glad you got out to get some pics and have a walk.  I work mornings and get home in the afternoon and you know that in Florida in the summer, every afternoon everywhere in Fl it rains...  I feel your pain.. it's a good pic still  :D

Thanks fellas, I was close enough I don't think the fog interfered much with the bird, it was just darker outside than normal, drove the iso up.

It's a charming picture.  What I like about your shots is they seem to imbue the birds with personality.  Technically speaking, ISO 6400 is pretty impressive.

Thanks Kerry, very nice compliment, I've learned that high iso sometimes has a minimal effect, usually dependent on the range of the shot and the background...I think :huh:...still learning :)

Was that with the D500 or the D610 ?
