Liking these banking fully extended wings. Wishing for better light. This is close to full frame but I do have more room. Crop too tight? 1/2000, f6.3 auto ISO - 1000, 5004E + 1.4III extender, D500. cc

It looks nice!  I sometimes ( rarely) in full frame have the same dilemma when you have full extension on the wings and you want to show the detail that you have captured, but the wingspan is too large to crop in tight.  It's a great pic john all the way down to the detail in the feet

Superb framing to be anywhere near filling the frame with a bird in flight...even a BIG bird..(-: Great detail as ever and I like the sky too, had it been a monotone blue it might have not been quite as interesting..?

Thank you. The background is water and to my eye it is more interesting than pure blue sky. The hard part with any of these is to capture the BIF at eye level. You would laugh if you knew the lengths I go to.

Great shot John, crop seems fine, if you just trimmed a little full frame probably good too.

Great shot detail is good. I like this crop.  It would be interesting to see what your thinking if you left more room.

Dang, that is an excellent shot, John!  So much detail here - you can see every feather of the osprey.  I would leave some space to the right, i.e. we're mentally following the flight of the bird in 2D space..

The sky is great.  Just adds a tiny bit of extra umph to a super picture.

Thank you. Added a bit to the rihs. Did not want too much empty space. Also I used Bicubic smoother instead of bicubic sharper on this version and I prefer it.
