Sunset light lighting up some Mammatus clouds associated with some very strong thunderstorms and yes it was in fact that yellow at sunset.

I love this shot!  The rigid geometry and even tone of the buildings beautifully juxtaposes with the complexity in the tone and colour of the clouds.  Wonderful mood.  Great shot

On further looking at this shot there is one thing I might suggest and that would be to fiddle with the vertical axis (i.e., correct the wide angle distortion in post.)  In other words, I think it would enhance the photograph if the down spout on the garage was parallel to the edge of the frame and similarly if the white verticals on the house were also parallel to the edge of the frame.  But really a minor quibble.

Interesting - The image does not work for me. The clouds and light are dramatic but I can't get over the blank wall, down spout, gutter and electric conduit that occupy 40+% of the image.

Interesting - The image does not work for me. The clouds and light are dramatic but I can't get over the blank wall, down spout and electric conduit that occupy 40+% of the image. 

And that, John, is why there is chocolate and vanilla.
