All superior photos :)

That middle one is a particularly difficult one to pull off.  You could even try to bring out more from the dark areas.  An exposure brush in LR or a mask in PS ?

Last one is beautiful

Very nice. The iq looks good and focus sharp. Good detail and light in the Egret shot. Tried to look upthe black snake species but I can't find it. Like Rod said you don't have much detail in the blacks of the rwbb and cut off his tail. They are a real a difficult exposure. You almost have to overexpose a bit and then bring it down in post. That is always preferable to bringing up in post which introduces noise. Beautiful sky  colors in the silhouette. tfs

What dimensions did you use to post these? I am going to try form Flickr as well. Lately the images coming direct from my computer loose too much iq. I have even tried full res and they don't look much better.

Thank you guys. It is really all Tony's videos and you critiques. To be honest it has a lot to do at looking at pictures you guys are posting so I can see what is possible and how to achieve it. I am not good yet, but having a blast.

John I used the 1024 x 800 ish. This number varied, but 1024 was consistent for all three images.

Great shots.  I find the egret image a little on the dark side.  I think it would help to selectively brighten being careful not to blow out the highlights on the bird.  The silhouette is wonderful but here I might suggest bringing up the clarity but only of the silhouette not the sky.  Good work.

Ok you perfectionists :-p   I picked a different image of the same bird..  played with the highlights, shadows, whites and darks. I am not sure though that it should show more detail. I guess should try and find out, but is there a point where we are creating more quality that we can see, nevermind I just answered that as I was typing.. thinking about Macro or even song birds.. almost all those little things look brown until you get close or magnify them....   I will post this bird and then go back and see how much more betterer :-)   I can make it...  wish me luck
