Nikon has issued a firmware update for many cameras to improve distortion control. See it here...

Good one, Bob.

I've been considering it for a bit but I'm holding off applying it

As a selective Luddite I tend to view "upgrades" with suspicion and not too sure that upgrades work for ME as opposed to others who present them to me.    Having had issues whereby it seems that distance to subject is no longer available to me in EXIF as once it was, you might understand my line of thought..... or not... (-: Trying hard not to become a devotee of  conspiracy theory, but it`s getting ever harder to avoid...(-:

Hello John.

I don't own any of the lenses it fixes so I'm sitting on my hands for a while.

Actually, the distortion fix took less than a couple of seconds to apply. It was updating the firmware update (a d7200 body) that needed a couple of minutes. I ran each update separately.

As for the lens list, unfortunately Nikon seems to use the same base lens (a AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II) for all d7000 series camera bodies.
