As I said in the previous thread, the first day of air show was shoot with 1/200s. 9AM till 5PM... That's the reason the second day I was slowed down to 1/500s.

These are not tack sharp but be my guest catching acrobatic planes with 200mm at 1/200s :)

Settings:

Body: D500

Lens: Nikkor 70-200mm at 200mm

Aperture: f/5

ISO: 50

Exposition: 1/200s

Anyway here are a few with this shutter speed.

I'm pretty happy with the results. Especially with this one.

If anyone wondered. Jurgis Kairys during his signature Cobra trick.

Did you take these from the ground? The 2nd one (my favorite) looks like you were in a chase plane next to this one.
Nice!

I jumped......

But seriously all of them are from the ground level of the runway :) Some of the guys were standing on a little hill (maybe 10m high).

From time to time planes were turning towards me so they just leveled up with the camera. And pure sky/clouds background helps with the illusion. Those are amazing shots. Works very good with imagination ^_^

Harvard/Texan looks great. I really like this combination of yellow on blue. Pacific war was very colorful but we all wish it would never happen... As well as the other conflicts and things back then.

I'm reviewing the photos. I've got around 6 000 of them and I wasn't spray&praying them. If there was a sequence of one long trick it was panning with button pushed down so it can be 20-25 photos per one trick. But usually there was just single click for photo 3-7 times during a flyby. I was pretty shocked that I made 3 000 photos per day. I could swear It will be 1 500 max. Anyway what I want to say. From the first day with 1/200s I've got 2 of 10 out of focus or blurred. I even know when. In the crowd my movement wasn't fluid so I used to mess up the beginning or finish of the sequence because I stuck with my backpack on someone. I thought it will be totally opposite - 2 will be usable

One more with Jurgis Kairys. This time a close up.

And some sky art (composition of 14 photos ^_^ ) from an awesome acrobatic team Zelazny - which btw have very tragic history. 4 pilots died during shows in 2003 and 2007.

Their signature trick is the well know turnout known from the Pearl Harbor movie. Not the best movie overall but the attack scene is one of the best to watch.

More to come :)

And there will only be air shows forthwith...
