Good day,

So I Finlay decided I just had to have a new lens so I got the canon EF 70 - 200mm F2.8.  This is one of the first time out with it the other day.  It was in the afternoon so the light was not that great.  I shoot this bird very fast becasue there were some young children not far behind me so I know I only had very limited time.  Good thing I hurried becasue as soon as they got here this little guy flew off.  I think he is a green heron.

This is hand held.  All CC welcome.

Thanks, Jd

Beautiful bird and a great shot. I just bought my 70-200 2.8 last week and I love it!

Nice shot, and congratulations on the new lens. It looks focused and you have good feather detail. The image is a bit underexposed and there seems to be a slight purple tint to it on my monitor.

the Thanks guys.  I think I have to spend some money to calibrate my monitor.  This has happened with a print before too but it does not show in my screen. I appreciate your CC

Before you splash out have a look at Jared's video.

One of the points he makes is that it only makes sense if all the monitors that display your pic are calibrated similarly.
