Stormy days still

Beach is way easier than cypress forest. Both of these birds were by a wading pool and walked so close I could of used my phone.

Ibis

D500 70-200 with 1.4 extender

1/3200 sec f/4 420mm ISO 400 +1/3 EV

Not sure what the shoreline bird is, some kind of Plover maybe.

D500 70-200 with 1.4 extender

1/3200 sec at f/4.0 420mm ISO 1000 +1 2/3 EV

I have 10 or sore more pics, but they need a little more fine tuning. the back grounds are a little blah..

all CC are welcomed.  I tried the 200-500 with the extender and could not get enough light.

Very nice. Both look sharp and well composed. Good work. I have found and read that at least one stop down from wide open gives better IQ when using an extender. In an ideal world the first image would have a head angle that faced the camera lens at some degree from 0 to 45.

I really like the Plover (?) pic best though both are very nice, the second attempt at wader Cropped and slightly darker is my preferred pic of it. Thanks for posting.
