That's gorgeous, Matt.

The ripples on the water and the clouds in the sky are a beautiful combination.

I like the scene you chose to capture and that you have detail under the water in the foreground and the wonderful cloud formations though on my screen the lighthouse looks a tad too bright. I wonder if the partial reflection actually detracts and if a polariser might have cut it out or reduced it to some degree..?

I have to admit that my interest is this image is somewhat increased as I have tried (cheap) grads in the past which did not work out as I had hoped, though recently bought part of the Lee 100 system, Big and Little stoppers, also the CP filter though yet to take the plunge on grads..

Great shot.  The touch of red really makes it.

Thanks everyone

Its 100% not blown out, I think the darker sky (which I did nothing to) makes it seem worse than it is.

I had a few shots this one the sun popped out giving the reflection and the other no sun and no reflection. I just preferred this one because of the reflection lol. I did actually have a polariser on to cut through the water

Many thanks for taking the time to reply Matt.... Blown out..?  Never had such a thought, seen way too many of your pics to come to that conclusion...(-:  Thanks for the heads up on the polariser.

It is a beautiful image Matt. Did you have to wade out over the rocks to get there? - Were you set up in the water?

Really nice capture! I really like the reflection of the light house in the water, and the dramatic clouds!
