Just returned home from my Fiancee's and I trip to Banff, Alberta where we spent a week hiking, river rafting, mountain biking, etc. in this beautiful park.  It was a needed break from everything and allowed me to get some photos from outside of Oklahoma for once.   In addition to Banff we also visited the Columbia Icefields in Jasper National Park and we took an ATV tour and River Rafting near Yoho National Park in British Columbia.

All photos taken with the Canon 7D, EF-S 18-135mm STM, EF-S 10-18mm STM, and Tamron SP 70-300mm lenses.

1) Mt. Rundle in Black and White

2) Banff and Cascade Mountain as seen from Sulphur Mountain.

3) Sunset on Mt. Astley

4) Mt. Rundle on a cloudy morning.

5) Mt. Andromeda at the Columbia Icefields

6) Frozen Bow Lake

I have a one way ticket to Winnipeg this Saturday.  My wife monitors clinical trials and has 3 clinics in Vancouver, so I'll plan a trip with her to get some shots of something that's higher than 26 feet above sea level. :-)

Nice work!!

Gorgeous scenery and outstanding shots.  I love the first one in B&W - the shadows have a lot of detail and the lighting is perfect.  What are you doing in post?  Anything outside of Lr?

Thank you all, it was an amazing trip.

Gorgeous scenery and outstanding shots.  I love the first one in B&W - the shadows have a lot of detail and the lighting is perfect.  What are you doing in post?  Anything outside of Lr?

I increased contrast for the black and white more than I do for color. It was also around sunset so I had the sun to my back which helped.
