Couple of photos from a little drift show.
It was all done on closed parking lot during warm day. And that 'warm' not 'hot' is important cause the track (paving) was pretty cold so it was hard to get nice effects with not powerful enough cars.
Actually only one was good enough - the classic BMW. But you will clearly see that. Pure power and three sets of tires were burned down.
As a bonus something extra. A brand new hybrid drive. It had its premiere at this show but as you can see something wasn't ok, yet. They have real problems trying to force this car to drift and make any smoke to cheer the audience.
Obviously looks like the problem was with this non symmetrical external biological drive or actually the lack of the left part of that drive. Hard to say cause this is still patent pending and all of the information are classified.
Bummer... Maybe next year they will develop it...
As for the settings. Of course my love 70-200 (varied lengths) at 1/320s, f/8 and ISO 100.
I tried to use slower speeds (1/60-1/100) to get the wheels blur but the crowd was too big and with that lack of movement freedom I couldn't manage to pan it the way I'd like to. So I just speed up and just catch what I could. So yes, I know they should look better. I did my best
