Z EOD

Sands of time eventually reclaim and cover everything.

"z eod" is "Halt, End Of Day" operator console command from way back when companies actually turned their mainframes off at night or weekends so people could go home.

As a test I tried posting this to the SDP FaceBook group too, in no time it was gone buried under a tone of new posts. Very active group I guess.

It got a few likes along the way down.

And what I noticed about the SDP FB group, very few comments, lots of likes. Typical of a social medial much like the  500px like's stroke fest.

And the same thing I find happens on the FB "League of Landscape Photographers" group, some comments, many likes and gone in no time buried under the river of incoming images.

Needless to say, really don't like FB very much. Find very little value in it. </End of Rant>

Posts on facebook usually get more comments when you ask a question. But there's really nothing you can do to avoid getting your posts buried within a day. But in a way a forum is pretty similar. It just takes longer for a post to be buried by other posts.

That shot just oozes with melancholy. Classic B&W

Outstanding image!  It has a very nice serene and lonely vibe to it.

Lovely photo, Peter.

I like the processing.

I'm with you in what you say about FB.

And its a crying shame that they did away with using teleprinters as an input device for computers... ;)

I like the feel of the shot very much Peter.  What's facebook?   ;)  Not in my life, never will be.

I like this shot.  B&W and minimalistic go well together.  Good work!

Nice photo, Peter. The B&W gives it some drama, yet it is a very peaceful scene.

I feel the same about Facebook. I tried it for a few months and that was it. Too much trash to sift through to get to something of interest. And yeah, post something today and it is lost in the mud by the end of the day
