I have owned the 7DII since it came out and am very happy with the overall performance.  I shoot sports very often and have a ton of printable shots.  I typically shoot in AI Servo single point to begin and let focusing system track the athletes as they move.  I use the default Case # 1 and it has historically performed well with the occasional miss.  More recently, however after two years of use, I find it missing much more often even in well lit daytime (baseball) shooting.  It seems more jumpy than in the past and seems to leave player to focus on other player or not track quite as well.

I am curious if anyone has run into this issue or heard of it.  Also curious if there is a fix or calibration required.

I haven't heard of this before, but I guess its not too surprising that some cameras would do that due to wear and tear. You didn't mention it, but have you changed which lenses you use most often? Because focusing is dependant on both camera and the lens.

Primarily shot basketball with 24-70, baseball with 70-200.  May take it in to local camera store and have them test it out.  Love the camera, but that is really bothersome since I am missing shots now I used to get more regularly.
