Hi everyone! I hope I am doing this right; this is the first time I've posted here. I do post in the SDP Facebook though and I love it! In the past year, I have developed (haha) so much as a photographer! One of my first milestones is I have placed in the top ten of a photography contest!!!!! I am over the moon! And all this is because of the help I received in SDP!

I hope I can post the link in case anyone is willing to give the photo a "like" as the final stage is public participation, as are most contests (I have noticed). If not, I completely understand. Or if you notice another picture you like more, I completely understand as well!

Thank you everyone for all your help!!

This photo was taken with my Nikon D3300 (I am saving up for a new body!), at 100mm. It is a "selfie".

Yes I did use flash but it was difficult; this is my second try at the shoot. The first time, I tried to reflect it off of something but it didn't really brighten the subject much. I definitely need an off-camera flash but there never seems to be enough money for this hobby LOL :P One day! But the practice has definitely helped me.

Thank you everyone, I am excited to be a part of this community now too :)

Get a pair of Yongnuo transceivers and the TX remote for your 560 flash (and maybe a small "on flash" soft box) and you've got a good start. Maybe $150 for everything!

Do the Yongnuo transceivers work with any Yongnuo flash? When I bought my flash I didn't realize it was now discontinued. I briefly looked at them on Amazon but put it on the back burner for the time being.

Congratulations!  I use the Yongnuo setup.  The difference is that I use the 568....a few more options.  Works very well.

I also use the YN 568 EX, your 560 is a non-ttl flash, somewhat out dated but obviously still works well for you. The 568 is only about $90, $200 - $250 for the whole works, and if you upgrade your gear it will still work, I use a D500 and D610. I know...it can be a money pit, but it's so worth it!

There is an older transceiver called an RF 603 that I am pretty sure works with your flash.
