Been trying for a week to get a shot I could have printed for of our kids for my for Valentines, this was finally a little cooperation by both .  Wanted a bright background that would merge into them, I guess somewhat of an angelic look (of two devils ;)). Had them stand in front of a sliding glass door that was brightly backlit, didn't really know what I was doing. Soft sepia finish. cc

iso 2800, 50 mm, f 1.8, 1/500, +.7 ev

D500, 50 mm f1.8

Was getting desperate, had to bribe them with cookies!

Doug, what a cracking shot of two little cuties. For my taste the sepia doesn't add to the shot, I would prefer a straight BW shot, I think it is too pale IMHO.

Thanks very much Chimpy,I agree with the straight black and white, my wife adds sepia to photos she takes with her phone all the time, I guess I did it because I knew she would like it, thanks mate!

Just made me immediately smile..... So your image sure works on that level Doug.   Lovely kids though the pic is just a little washed out for me, but then I ever type that I ain`t the artistic type.

Doug, this is great!  It's a photo that will be passed over from one generation to the next.  Photographing kids is a challenge people say :)  Like Chimpy suggested, I'd really like to see a b&w version of it with a bit of contrast boost.

Haha!

The cuteometer just went off the scale.

The b&w is great and the colour is very nice - nice soft tones

Thanks gents, I'm having the un-cropped version of the b&w printed for my wife 16x20, added a little more contrast before sending it to the lab.
