Is anybody here using the AF-S DX Nikkor16-80mm f/2.8-4E ED VR lens? I am thinking about it as an upgrade to my 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6 kit lens. It would be my primary lens. I would appreciate any user feedback to go along with the reviews I am reading through. Thank you.

I'm no expert but being a life long fan of Nikon gear I think it would be a great improvement in the comparative focal range (up to 80mm).  Probably worth it if you can give up the long end of the zoom range you have now!

I have it and find it very sharp. Outside It is all the lens I had hoped it would be. I have tried it for indoor sports and unfortunately it just not fast enough for use without a flash. I am going to have to pick up a 50mm f1.8 for indoor action.
