I bought my first DSLR yesterday, a D750. And the Nikkor 24-70 f/2.8 lens (longer and shorter lenses later). Wow. I'm really excited. Looking forward to learning more about photography!

I am anxious to hear your thoughts on the well respected NIKKOR 24-70 lens. It is a lens I am interested in as a step up from my D7100 kit lens - the 18-140mm (not happy with the the sharpness of that lens), but the NIKKOR 24-70 is very expensive! Tamron has one that is about $800 less expensive that I am considering and it has VC. Thanks and have fun with your new gear!

Rdb, I decided to go "all-Nikon" on this, my first, purchase. I had previously rented the lens and camera and liked the combo. I didn't rent the Tamron but you could, and maybe that'll help you decide? Have fun deciding and let's post some shots!
