After months of reviews, and thought about how my new camera would be used I ordered the 5DsR. I like the 1Dx mark II it did not fit my current shooting requirements. Most of my bird shots are birds in trees, the 5DsR makes more sense at this time, maybe the 1Dx mark II when the prices come down a bit more :-)

Nice one Paul, welcome to the club, you notice the difference with your shallow DOF lol.

I picked up a 8TB Seagate external hard drive for around £200 that's about 150 dollars.

Ha, Seagate announced a 6oTB SSD, hate to see the price of that one.

Might hold an image or 2 from a 5dsr

Ebit there are a couple of reasons I chose the 5DsR over the 5D mark 4. Tony recently did a review comparing the image quality of several camera and the 5DsR had better IQ than the mark 4. the second reason is no AA filter. Third the price was quite a bit less at this point in time. In the future the price on the 5D mark 4 will come down. I want a camera that will shoot better low light, and better landscape shots as well. The mark 4 would not fill all my current needs, I think the 5DsR will do a better job at doing that.
