Canon has released new firmware 1.1.0 for the 7d-mkii

it adds .

1. Supports Wi-Fi adapter W-E1.
2. Adds a setting to enable or disable automatic storage of the lens if it is extended out when a gear-driven STM lens*1 is attached, and the power switch is turned to [OFF].
*1 EF 40mm f/2.8 STM, EF 50mm f/1.8 STM, or EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM lenses

Basically nothing really useful unless you want the new wifi card or have one of the gear-driven STM lenses

Just beware a firmware update can brick your camera if it goes wrong.

However the folk at Magic Lantern who have recently started to actively work on a release for the 7d-mkii warn that Canon has also added a feature that prevents rolling back to earlier firmware versions, which might be worrying for some.
