Yesterday I bought D5500, Today I seen a little dust chip on middle of the focusing area as you can see.

I tried to clean it and it didn't take off. Then i tried to do it with ear stick and little bit of alcohol, It didn't take off and i added some alcohol smears to it.

Im very sad for that happening to me..

Is it possible to fix?

Since you are saying that it's in the viewfinder, it doesn't appear in photos even if you use f/22 on a uniform color shot ( like a plain white wall ), right ?

It also appears in the viewfinder with any lens, right ?

If it's so, then it definitely is inside the viewfinder.

To clean the viewfinder you need to tear the camera apart.

And that can only lead to worse things.

You can take it to the shop or Nikon's repair center and ask for a replacement since it was there from the beginning, or just learn to live with it if it ain't bothersome when shooting.

ok i went to the shop and they said it has to be sent to lab.

i found on the internet it easy way to open the focusing screen (prism) and clean with air duster.

unfortunately the marks i mad on the screen is not cleanable...

i found on the internet that the focusing screen - prism is easy to exchange but i can't find d5500 prism... just d5300

anyone knows if its the same focusing screen? or anyone has an idea where to get original prism to my d5500?
