Looks cool for you guys that still have the force with you.

Add Wi-Fi to your previously unconnected 7D Mark II, 5DS, or 5DS R with the SD card-shaped W-E1 Wi-Fi Adapter from Canon. Sliding right into your camera's SD card slot, this device brings high-speed 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi on a 2.4 GHz band with a range of up to 32.8'. This enables users to wirelessly transfer their photos and MP4-format video to a smartphone, tablet, or computer. Users of Canon's Camera Connect mobile app will also be able to remotely control and trigger the camera. Additionally, the CS100 Connect Station is supported for wireless backup.

Thats a much better design over the ones that plug into the side of the camera. I don't see my self ever buying one but neat none the less.

If it is anything like the EyeFi card it closely resembles, the range was not so good

And it will be interesting to see what software Canon has for working with it, their existing wifi  adapter software is not so good.

Basically only allows ftp file transfer with an interface that looks to be  straight out of the 70's.

But here's hoping! A 50$ adapter does sounds good.

Especially if it comes with more modern and capable software!
