Delayed shipment :-(, due to credit card hold for out of country purchase. This lens is shipping from our neighbors to the north.

Not the Canadians fault, dam credit card people. I'm hoping it shipped yesterday, but more likely it went out this morning :-(

You have to like the current exchange rate if you are south of the boarder. Camera Canada?

Barbara is going to retire at the end of the year and we may move to Winnipeg.  We'll be selling our car here and buying new in Canada.  We have a reserve set aside from about 2 years ago when she was near a promotion, but would have lost her company car.  That reserve was to buy a new car for her.  Well, it's just sitting there collecting interest, so if we do move to Winnipeg, the exchange rate will give it quite a boost as far as purchasing a new vehicle.

However, I'm not looking forward to the winter. ;-)

The cold weather is a difficult tradeoff for a cheaper car David. I have lived my whole life in this cold climate, and I can tell you that the winters great longer and less bearable every year.

"That reserve was to buy a new car for her.  Well, it's just sitting there collecting interest " - I would venture that it is not collecting much interest these days.

hah the 70-200 is my fav lens but it almost never gets any usage.  too bulky to walk around with it and I only really take it out if I'm set on actually shooting portraits

but the images you get, and the bokeh is just amazing.

Best of luck on your new gear. You will love this lens. I just spent the day with the new Canon 5 D Mark IV and that lens what a great combo.
