I think there's many software improvements that can be made to improve the experience of shooting with a Sony mirrorless camera. Would Tony and Chelsea consider gathering ideas and making a video on this? In my opinion, it would be beneficial.
I can think of quite a few ideas:
- Improve manual focus so only a small square gets magnified, therefore you can compose your shot and focus at the same time; Fujifilm cameras work a bit like this
- APS-C crop mode should be stills and video independent, then you don't have to constantly enable or disable it if you shoot stills or video i.e. if I have set video to APS-C crop mode, when I press the video record button it automatically goes to APS-C crop mode
- EFCS should have the option of auto-disabling past 1/1000sec exposure to avoid accidental banding
- User should be able to configure any dial to control ISO
I think people can't whine about this enough. This is something Sony can do something about and benefit its current and future customers.
